we're talking about a 90 degree spread. 22 in kansas city, 30 in albuquerque. when you factor in the winds, it feels like 11 in kansas city, 13 in dallas. we have another round of ice on the way. i also want to point the attention that we could see record cold as south and west as southern california. fresno, 27 degrees. we could see snow in fresno since 1998. we have one storm that's exiting, a lot of energy with this western system and another ice storm on the way for parts of the south and into the mid-atlantic and even the northeast. we're looking at snow for the sierra nevada and then we could see a few snow flakes in around around l.a. if you can believe it. this energy is going to combine with that very cold arctic air and then another low pressure that forms across the south and that's going to give us the potential for the next ice storm sunday into monday as we continue to watch this northeast and the mid-atlantic, a wintery mix but again a lot of warm air overriding shallow cold air and with that the potential of freezing rain. we could see a quarter

they have just updated, we have 19 degrees in the napa valley right now 26 in santa rosa, 26 in fairfield, 27 in concord. and 28 degrees in livermore. we may be looking at crop damage in the napa valley. those temperatures are just too cold. even freezing inside the bay. so you get the idea, we are working on a very cold start to the morning. by the afternoon, plenty of sunshine. but still some very chilly temperatures as that cold arctic air sits overhead. tomorrow morning another cold morning and then the possibility of some showers late in the day. so here it is. that cold arctic air mass looking like it's going to hang around for another day and then sliding further east but today, cold around much of the state. highs only about 46 degrees in eureka. 52 fresno. about 31 degrees in lake tahoe. changes coming our way though. tomorrow morning chilly but not quite as cold. and then late in the day this system starts to dive into the bay area bringing with it a chance of showers looks like tomorrow evening and then into early saturday morning. highs for today going to be on the chilly side
